A New Start Story

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. She loved her old home and her old school. She had the best friends in the whole world. But then, one sunny day, her family had to move to a new city. Lily was very sad. She didn’t want to leave her friends.

The new city was big and shiny, but Lily didn’t like it much. It felt like a whole new world. The next day, she had to go to a new school. Her tummy felt like a bundle of butterflies. She missed her old school, her old classroom, and her old teacher.

When Lily walked into her new classroom, everyone looked at her. She felt shy and scared. She wished she could hide under her desk! But then, a girl with curly hair and a big smile called out, “Hi! I’m Mia!” Lily smiled back, feeling a tiny bit better.

After a while, the teacher said it was time for a school tour. Lily was happy to get out of the classroom. Mia and another boy named Ben joined her. They showed Lily the playground, the library, and the art room. They talked and laughed, and Lily started to feel a little less scared.

During break time, Mia and Ben shared their snacks with Lily. She had a yummy chocolate cookie from Mia and a crunchy apple from Ben. They were so kind! Lily started to think maybe this new school wouldn’t be so bad after all.

As the day went on, Lily met more and more kids. Some kids liked to draw, some liked to play games, and some liked to tell jokes. Lily realized that everyone was different, but they were all friendly. She started to feel like she belonged.

When the school day was over, Lily walked home with a big smile on her face. She was still a little sad about leaving her old friends, but she was excited about making new ones. Maybe this new city wouldn’t be so bad after all.

As she looked out the window of her new home, she saw the sunset. It was beautiful. Lily took a deep breath. She knew that starting over wasn’t easy, but she was brave. And she was ready for a new adventure.

The next day, Lily couldn’t wait to go back to school. She missed Mia, Ben, and all the other kids. She knew that this was going to be a great year. After all, new beginnings can be exciting too!
